摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain porous lithium aluminate appropriate for the electrolyte holding plate of a molten carbonate cell by dry-mixing a porous α-alumina grain and a lithium compd. and calcining the mixture. SOLUTION: This porous lithium aluminate consists of a porous grain having 1-15m /g BET specific surface (N2 SA), and the R value calculated from the equation, R=[(S2 -S1 )/S1 ]×100 is controlled to /g respectively before and after heating. A sample and an electrolyte (contg. 62mol% Li2 CO3 and 38mol% K2 CO3 ) are mixed in 1:3 weight ratio, and the mixture is heated at 700 deg.C for 200hr in an electric furnace filled with an atmosphere of air/CO2 =70/30 to obtain the porous lithium aluminate. The porous lithium aluminate is obtained by dry-mixing a porous α-alumina grain and a lithium compd. almost in a stoichiometric ratio and calcining the mixture.

摘要： PURPOSE:To recover heat from residual oil at high temperatures, save the fule cost and promote energy saving, by carrying out the heat exchange of material insoluble in solvents at a low temperature obtained from an extraction column and a residual oil at a high temperature obtained from a distillation column. CONSTITUTION:A stock oil at a high temperature obtained from a vacuum distillation column 12 is passed through a path 13 and a tank 2, cooled in a raw material cooler 3 and then introduced into an extraction column 4. A heated solvent is fed to the interior of the extraction column 4, and a part 6 soluble in the solvent is formed from an oil having a high viscosity index dissolved in the solvent. The solvent is separated into two layers of the upper par 6 in the solvent and a lower part 7 insoluble in the solvent. The part 6 soluble in the solvent in the upper layer as a deasphalted oil is fed to the first heat exchanger 8 and subjected to heat exchange with the warm stock oil and recover the sensible heat thereof. The above-mentioned deasphalted oil is heated in a heater 9 and fed to a treating system 10. On the other hand, the above-mentioned part 7 insoluble in the solvent is passed through the fourth, second and third heat exchangers 19, 17 and 18 and subiected to heat exchange with the stock oil at high temperature from the vacuum distillation column 12 and then transferred to an asphalt heating furnace 11.

SOLUTION: Pressure in a cooling pipe 25a, passing through a catalyst layer 36a where the CO selective oxidization catalyst is filled, is controlled to be saturated vapor pressure in a temperature suitable for cooling the CO selective oxidization catalyst. Cooling water, preheated to a temperature suitable for cooling the CO selective oxidization catalyst, is supplied to the cooling pipe through applied pressure. Thus, the catalyst layer is cooled by vapor-liquid two-phase flow, flowing in the cooling pipe.

A reforming gaseous starting material containing steam is generated by further providing a water spray for spraying water necessary for steam reforming in the upstream side from the combustion catalyst and spraying water to evaporate after the start up of the catalytic combustion.

摘要： PURPOSE:To simplify the production process and to reduce production cost by laser welding two mask plates having a specified structure to one separator plate having a specified structure whose circumference is interposed between the mask plates. CONSTITUTION:A separator is formed by laser-welding a separator plate 17 to mask plates 18a, 18b. The separator plate 17 is formed so as to have recesses and projections for gas passages by press working, and a heat resistant clad layer of high aluminium ferrite is formed on the contact surface with an anode gas. The mask plates 18a, 18b consist of a heat-resistant steel 18d which is a base material and a high aluminium ferrite layer 18c. The mask plates are welded by laser irradiation to the separator plate 17 in manifolds 19, 20, and the circumference of the separator plate 17 from the outside of the high aluminium ferrite layer 18c.

The hydrogen membrane separation apparatus 12 comprises a reformer 12a housing a reforming catalyst and reforming the fuel into a reformed gas and a shift reaction membrane separation apparatus 12b housing a shift reaction catalyst and separating the hydrogen-containing gas from the reformed gas by the membrane. The CO removing apparatus 14 is a CO selective oxidation apparatus 14a or a methanation apparatus 14b.

SOLUTION: A reformer 26 is so structured as to have the function of a shift converter by using a reforming catalyst having high low-temperature activity and making it operable at the same temperature as the operation temperature of a shift converter, so that the shift converter is omitted and the system is formed into a compact size. In addition, its load responsiveness is improved by using a heat medium 30 having a large heat capacity as compared with gas for heating the reformer 26. The compaction of the system is realized by composing a composite heat exchanger 33 by integrating a heating part 34 of the heat medium 30, a methanol evaporating part 35 and a steam generation part 36.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent a reforming catalyst from being poisoned by carbonate and also facilitate temperature control in a fuel cell stack by inserting into the fuel cell stack a cooling plate comprising the reforming catalyst packed in its plural passages through which 1 stack cooling reformed gas is made to flow. CONSTITUTION:A reformed gas CG for cooling a fuel cell stack S is supplied to a cooling plate 33 integrated into the fuel cell stack S and the fuel cell stack S is cooled by use of an endothermic reaction that occurs when the gas is reformed by a reforming catalyst 61 packed in the cooling plate 33. In this case, the reforming catalyst 61 is packed in the gas passages 34 of the cooling plate 33 and so is insulated from carbonate. The reforming catalyst is thus prevented from being poisoned by the carbonate and temperature distribution inside the fuel cell stack S in its vertical direction is readily controlled by the control of the ratio of the flow of a processing reformed gas PG to an external reforming device to that of the stack cooling reformed gas CG to the cooling plate 33.
