SOLUTION: Coiling/uncoiling devices 11, 12, strip shear 15, strip joining machine 16 and strip accumulator 14 which are arranged in order on one side of the a rolling device 10 for rolling/forming the strip 1, a strip feeding means 29 for feeding the strip 1 from the strip accumulator 14 to the other side of the rolling device 10 and a strip shear 30 arranged between the rolling device 10 and the 2nd coiling/uncoiling device 12 are provided. The strip 1 is made into an endless shape with a strip joining machine 16 and the strip 1 is rolled while absorbing the elongation of the strip 1 with the strip accumulator 14 while revolving around the strip 1 to the rolling mill 10.

摘要： PURPOSE:To unnecessiate devices for inserting upper rails into a mill stand, fixing and detaching by providing movable supporting-wheel guide rails with which the upper ends of push-up bars are projected above lower journal boxes by engaging horizontal parts to supporting wheels and which are situated so as to guide the traverse motion of the supporting wheels. CONSTITUTION:At the time of changing rolls, the upper ends of the push-up bars 14 are fit into fitting holes 39 provided on the bottom of upper journal boxes 4 by moving the supporting-wheel guide rails 18, engaging their horizontal parts to the supporting wheels 15 and projecting the upper ends of the push-up bars 14 above the lower journal boxes 5. Then, when only the lower journal boxes are traversed so as to draw them out of the rolling mill in this state, lower wheels 12 and the supporting wheels 15 are respectively guided with lower wheel guide rails 17 and the supporting-wheel guide rails 18 and traversed, and the upper journal boxes 4 and lower journal boxes 5 are integrally taken out as the former is supported above the latter.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obviate to support a weighty guide key by hands, enable easy removal of a side roll and eliminate a play by which a rotating shaft of a side roll is shifted. CONSTITUTION:A side roll york 21 is mounted on a york receiving base 23 formed on an inner stand 22, a swing key 28 supported by a turning shaft on the inner stand 22 is inserted into a fixing recessed part 26 while it is turned, the side roll york 21 is held down and used also as a horizontally movable guide. Slidable tapered keys 30, 31 are fitted between this swing key 28 and the fixing recessed part 26 to eliminate the play. Since the swing key 28 is supported on the inner stand 22, it need not be supported by hands, the play of the swing key 28 is eliminated by the tapered keys 30, 31 and the positioning accuracy of the side roll 29 is improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To carry out the inspection of a strip surface on a line, by drawing out a strip to the desired length by moving the winding end by a conveyor while rewinding a strip coil rolled round a tension reel. CONSTITUTION:After the winding of a strip 6' is finished by means of a tension reel 3 on the downstream side, the wound up coil 8 is turned and the winding end is moved to the downside. While the coil 8 is rewind, the winding end is moved to the downstream side by using a conveyor 17, and the strip 6' is drawn out by a length necessary for surface inspection. Then, the conveyor 17 is stopped and the surface inspection of the strip 6' is performed on the conveyor 17. At this time, winding of the strip 6' is started by means of a tension reel 2 on the upstream side. When the surface inspection of the strip 6' is finished, the strip 6' is moved to the upstream side and the coil 8 is wound up.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy in measuring a deformation resistance by providing a pair of auxiliary rolls at the opposite side of a rolled plate for the roll for leveler and performing a press by conforming the curvatures of a rolled plate and leveler roll. CONSTITUTION:A pair of auxiliary rolls 21, 22 are arranged at the opposite side of a rolled roll 4 for the roll 1 composing a leveler. In this case the two straight lines 26, 27 connecting the centers 23, 24 of the auxiliary rolls 21 and 22 and the center 25 of the roll 1 are both made to intersect at right angles respectively with the tangent lines 28, 29 of the upper part of the rollers 5, 6 for measurement and the lower part of the roll 1. Since the plate 4 is pressed to the roll 1 by the rolls 21, 22 the radius of curvature of the plate 4 becomes almost equal to the radius R of the roll 1. Consequently the generation of a plastic deformation is eliminated on the plate 4, so the accuracy in measuring the deformation resistance of the plate 4 is improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To facilitate operation and to improve safety by providing a baffling device on the downstream side of a straightening roll, detecting intrinsic camber and then computing and adjusting the rolling reduction of straightening rolls to reduce the actual camber perfectly. CONSTITUTION:Rolls 11 are arranged at both ends of a plate 9 on the downstream side of the straightening rolls to compose the baffling device together with a fluid pressure cylinder 10. Further, near the rolls 11, optical camber detectors 12 are arranged in a plate width direction at a desired interval. Plate camber is given by a roller 11 operated through a fluid pressure cylinder 10 to the plate 9 straightened in flatness by a leverer at the downstream of bridle roll. In this case, the camber of the plate 9 is detected by the detector 12 and the actual cambering extent is obtained by an arithmetic and control unit 14. Then, the control unit 14 adjusts the straightening rolls for the leveler accurately. Since no sampling is required for the plate, straightening operation is facilitated and safety also improved.

When the car 19 is retreated, the wheel 12 of chock 5 transfers onto a guide rail 17 on a rearranging frame 16, and successively the wheel 15 of the lower end of a push-up rod 14 passes through a fitting hole 13 and runs on a guide rail 18. Thus, upper and lower work rolls 2, 3 are drawn out onto the rail 16 of a shifting carriage 33, in a form of double bunk. In this way, the rolls can be rearranged regardless of a rolling stock existing between both rolls 2, 3.

Using the continuous rolling equipment the bearings for the back-up rolls 3a, 3b of which are roller bearings, in the state that the automatic gage controller is operated, rolling is executed by decelerating the rolling mill during joining the trailing edge of the preceding strip to the leading edge of the succeeding strip.
