    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain antifouling and anticorrosive performance using photocatalytic reaction in the atmosphere on land, in water, under water and the like by arranging a photocatalyst and a fluorescent material in a dispersion state in a protective film. SOLUTION: A metallic material such as an iron base, a concrete material, an inorganic material and the like are objects of a structural material 1. The protective film is constituted of a transparent layer 24 formed by allowing the fine particulate photocatalyst 22, the phosphor 22 and a transparent granular body 23 having a relatively large particle size to exist on the surface 1a to be treated in the dispersed state and having light transmissivity. The photocatalyst consists of a n-type TiO2 or the like and is carried on the transparent layer 24 so that a part of the particle is exposed to be in contact with the ambient atmosphere. The phosphor 22 is carried with the photocatalyst on the transparent layer 24 and consists of a complex ion of a transition metal and the fluorescence is kept by adding a trace quantity of iron. The transparent granular body 23 such as quartz beads is relatively densely present in the transparent layer 24. An acid resistant resin material such as polydifluorethylene is adapted to the transparent layer 24. The photocatalystic reaction is kept for a long time even in the night by the application of fluorescence.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water or a contact wall face with water from getting stained by forming a stain-resistant layer holding a TiO2 substance at the inside face and conducting solar beam from the upper opening to prevent the contact wall face of a structure from getting stained by the oxidation action of the TiO2 substance as a photocatalyst. SOLUTION: The internal wall face 1 of a structure is made of concrete and constituted of vertical inside faces 1a and the horizontal bottom face 1b. In this case, a stain-resistant layer 2 is formed to holds a TiO2 substance by applying a paint mixed with a TiO2 substance for instance, at the contact wall face with water positioned lower than the liquid level L of the internal wall face 1. And a stain-resistant net is disposed at the intake of a submerged structure X or an outflow opening to allow water to flow through the net. In this time, foreign materials are caught and stain- resistant treatment is carried out during a stagnant state of water. The stain-resistant layer prevents stains from sticking onto the internal wall face 1 and also the stain- resistant net from clogging. In this way, a dirt-prevention layer 2 holding a TiO2 substance is formed to bring out the photocatalyst reaction with irradiation with solar beam or ultraviolet ray lamps. Particularly, stain-resistant and anticorrosion of a wall face getting contact with stagnant water is effected.
