摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose bad odor and org. gases in a closed room environment or similar places and to clean air by arranging a purifying device which decomposes an org. component in air or a gas by causing photocatalytic reaction in a dead space and providing the device with an operation source which supplies electric power or light to a light-emitting part. SOLUTION: The cleaning device 1 is arranged in a place such as a corner of a structure 3 being a dead space D where org. gases easily remain, and it has a function to cause photocatalytic reaction to decompose the org. gases. The device 1 is equipped with a light-emitting part 11 having a function to generate at least either UV rays or visible rays, and a photocatalytic reacting body (reflection shade) 12 which is disposed while facing the light-emitting part 11 and which supports a photocatalyst (h) in an exposed state to cause photocatalytic reaction. The light-emitting part 11 consists of a UV lamp or illuminating lamp which generates UV rays or visible rays by supplying power, and it is electrically connected to an operation source (power supply means) 2. When power is supplied, the light-emitting part 11 emits UV rays or visible rays to irradiate the photocatalyst (h) on the reflection face 12a of the reflection shade 12.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adapt a raft for photocatalytic reaction to the wide surface of water by utilizing the oxidizing power based on photocatalytic reaction at a time of the irradiation with light mainly based on solar rays by using the raft for the photocatalytic reaction to kill microorganisms suspended in water or to prevent the propagation of them. SOLUTION: By floating a raft A for photocatalytic reaction wherein a TiO2 layer 2 is arranged on the surface of a raft constituting material 1 on the surface of water W, the TiO2 layer 2 becomes a state in contact with the water W and, at a time of the irradiation of light due to solar rays, photocatalytic reaction is generated in the TiO2 layer 2. Strong oxidizing power is generated in the part of the TiO2 element supported on the TiO2 layer 2 on the basis of this photocatalytic reaction and microorganisms, that is, aquatic microorganisms such as algae, seaweeds or org. matters suspended in the water W are decomposed and microorgansims are killed or prevented from propagation and polymeric org. matter such as oil or the like is decomposed partially to be gasified to be separated and removed from the water W. When microorganisms are present in the vicinity of the raft A for photocatalytic raction, they are decomposed to purify the water W.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain antifouling and anticorrosive performance using photocatalytic reaction in the atmosphere on land, in water, under water and the like by arranging a photocatalyst and a fluorescent material in a dispersion state in a protective film. SOLUTION: A metallic material such as an iron base, a concrete material, an inorganic material and the like are objects of a structural material 1. The protective film is constituted of a transparent layer 24 formed by allowing the fine particulate photocatalyst 22, the phosphor 22 and a transparent granular body 23 having a relatively large particle size to exist on the surface 1a to be treated in the dispersed state and having light transmissivity. The photocatalyst consists of a n-type TiO2 or the like and is carried on the transparent layer 24 so that a part of the particle is exposed to be in contact with the ambient atmosphere. The phosphor 22 is carried with the photocatalyst on the transparent layer 24 and consists of a complex ion of a transition metal and the fluorescence is kept by adding a trace quantity of iron. The transparent granular body 23 such as quartz beads is relatively densely present in the transparent layer 24. An acid resistant resin material such as polydifluorethylene is adapted to the transparent layer 24. The photocatalystic reaction is kept for a long time even in the night by the application of fluorescence.

Moreover, recession parts 4a are formed on the member 4, and support is done by such a method in which a photoctalyst 5 is applied on the surfaces of the recession parts 4a. In this way, the water W can be sterilized powerlessly, and the purification and quality improvement of water can be continued over a long period.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make org. gases non-polluting and to clean the inside of a storage tank by irradiating these gases with rays by a photoirradiation means optically connected to a light supplying means for supplying visible rays to the inside of the storage tank and decomposing the gases in the storage tank by the photocatalyst reaction of a photocatalyst reactant at the time of the irradiation with the rays. SOLUTION: The light supplying means 2 is operated under the conditions under which the org. gas, smoke, etc., intrude into the storage tank 1, by which the UV rays or visible rays are generated in a light source section 21. These rays are sent into the storage tank 1 by a light transmission means 22. The photoirradiation means 3 irradiates the photocatalyst reactant 4 with the rays to induce the photocatalyst reaction. As a result, the org. gases in contact with the photocatalyst reactant 5 and the org. gases, etc., near the same are decomposed and the gases in the storage tank 1 are purified. If the org. gases consist of a polymer structure, the crosslinked portions are parted and are converted to a small mol.wt., by which the greater part is made non-polluting. If the photocatalyst reactant 4 is disposed at a low position, the purification by the static action alone is made possible with a convectional effect by the decomposition.

In this case, a stain-resistant layer 2 is formed to holds a TiO2 substance by applying a paint mixed with a TiO2 substance for instance, at the contact wall face with water positioned lower than the liquid level L of the internal wall face 1. And a stain-resistant net is disposed at the intake of a submerged structure X or an outflow opening to allow water to flow through the net. In this time, foreign materials are caught and stain- resistant treatment is carried out during a stagnant state of water. The stain-resistant layer prevents stains from sticking onto the internal wall face 1 and also the stain- resistant net from clogging. In this way, a dirt-prevention layer 2 holding a TiO2 substance is formed to bring out the photocatalyst reaction with irradiation with solar beam or ultraviolet ray lamps. Particularly, stain-resistant and anticorrosion of a wall face getting contact with stagnant water is effected.
