    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mechanize the removing work of cover bags, by pulling both ends of the bottom of a cover bag held by a pair of tearing machines of bags to the right and left sides to form a clearance between the opposite faces of fruits and vegetables and the cover bag and slacken the closely stuck state of the mutual faces. SOLUTION: Pears A are placed on a mounting cup 3 in the state that the whole pears are covered with a cover bag B and a pressing arm 32 and respective tearing arms 37 of a tearing machine 5 of bags are pressed on the bottom Ba of the cover bag B. The closed part Bd of the cover bag B protruded to the lower face side of the mounting cup is held and pulled down by respective holding arms 17 of a bag cutter 4 and the upper peripheral face of a closing band wound up on the closed part Bd of the cover bag B is cut off by a rotary cutter 22. Both ends of the bottom Ba of the cover bag B are contracted flat and held by respective tearing arms 37 and both ends of the bottom Ba of the cover bag B are pulled to the right and left sides to vertically tear and separate the bag. In this way, a clearance is formed between the opposite faces of the pears A and the cover bag B to slacken the closely stuck state of the mutual faces and reduce the contact resistance on peeling off the cover bag B from the pears A.

The transport conveyer is extended longitudinally by a conveyer extending means to separate the respective movable bodies, and the respective movable bodies are separated left and right by a width expanding means 30 to separate the fruit and vegetables mounted between the respective movable bodies to left and right intervals corresponding to the fruit and vegetables feeding parts. The fruit and vegetables can be surely feed one by one to respective recessed mounting parts of respective sorting conveyers. And the respective bodies 15 are adapted to approach each other by a width wise biasing means 32 provided at the return side and moved circulatively so that the succeeding fruit and vegetables are sequentially mounted between the respective movable bodies to continuously carry out the feeding operation.
