    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To streamline a treatment for cutting the residual stems of tobacco. SOLUTION: The device 2 for cutting the residual stems of tobaccos is connected to the front portion of the body of a tractor 1, and the tractor 1 is driven along the ridge of the tobacco residual stems. The tobacco residual stems having a total length of 100 cm are cut into 25 cm cut pieces with four pairs of right and left rotary blades 8, 8... attached to right and left cutting blade shafts 5, 5 at positions mutually shifted in the vertical direction, and then released into grooves 13 on both the sides of the ridge. A tilling work is once performed with a rotary tiller along the ridge 12 to release the tilled soil into the grooves 13 on both the sides, thus burying the released cut residual stems in the soil. Since the right and left cutting blade shafts 5, 5 are forward inclined so that the upper portions of the right and left cutting blade shaft 5, 5 are placed on the front sides, the tobacco residual stems are sequentially cut with the right and left rotary blades 8, 8,... from the upper side to the lower side, the cutting loads of the cutting device can be reduced. The right and left cutting blade shafts 5, 5 are mutually pivotally disposed in such a laterally inclined posture that the upper portions and the lower portions of the right and left cutting blade shafts 5, 5 are disposed at places near to the center and at both the right and left sides, respectively. Thereby, the outer peripheral portions of the upper side blades of the right and left rotary blades 8, 8 attached to the right and left cutting blade shafts 5, 5 at positions shifted in the vertical direction are much overlapped each other, while the outer peripheral portions of the lower side blades are a little overlapped. Thus, the loads of the cutting device for cutting the hard lower portions of the residual stems can be reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that an operator informed of the clogging of a fertilizing nozzle with a fertilizer applicator by an alarm device must stop a fertilizing work and remove the clogged fertilizer applicator by a hand work in usual fertilizers. SOLUTION: In this fertilizer applicator, plural rows of fertilizing nozzles 4 for applying a fertilizer fed from a fertilizer tank 2 on a traveling vehicle 1 to a farm field by a compressed transporting air blown from an air chamber 3 are arranged and installed. A clogging sensor S for detecting clogging of the fertilizer is installed to the fertilizing nozzle, while an actuator 5 for regulating the air flow is installed in the upstream of the air flow. A controlling means C which controls the actuator 5 to send compressed wind stronger than that of the compressed transporting air depending on the detected information of the clog sensor S is installed. A control means for controlling the actuator 5 is installed to the fertilizing nozzle having a happening of fertilizer clogging to intermittently blow a compressed wind stronger than that of the compressed transporting air.
