    • PURPOSE:To maintain stability, storage property and low exothermic property without deterioration of strength in a shape of a normally used admixture and to improve acid resistance by regulating a mol. ratio of a specified component in a starting material and adding silica thereto to vitrify the result. CONSTITUTION:Limemilk is applied to an inside surface of a baked graphite crucible, and after air-drying the limemilk, the crucible is heated to 500-600 deg.C to apply a lining of lime, and calcium oxide, bauxite, iron ore and silica rock being starting materials are compounded so that the molar ratio of CaO:Al2O3: Fe2O3 is (4+alpha):1:1 (alpha is o =1250 deg.C (>=1450 deg.C) in a kryptol furnace and the mixture is stirred with a graphite rod to confirm complete melting at the time point of fusing and falling of the charged matter, and allowed to flow in a water bath to quench it. This quenched lump is pulverized with a pulverizer to obtain a fused matter having a composition contg. G-C4AF and betaC2S, and blast furnace granulated slag powder or fly ash is mixed with this pulverized powder by the same amount as that of the pulverized powder.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively utilize converter slag which is generated in a large amt. in iron and steel making industry and the effective utilization for which is not yet established. CONSTITUTION:The converter slag is slowly cooled by spending 1 to 3 hours between 400 deg.C and 900 deg.C in the process of subjecting the slag to a heating treatment for 15 to 180 minutes or cooling the slag from a molten state, by which the free lime content (measured by a Frank method) contained in the converter slag to , SO4 as a salt injury resistance effect. Further, the long-term compressive strength is improved by the effect of beta-C2S incorporated into the converter slag and simultaneously, the converter slag is helpful as the admixture of a low exothermic type and eventually, the converter slag is effectively utilized as the blank material to improve the durability of the concrete.
