摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining kinds of leaking liquid which can detect leaking liquid to actuate an alarm means and can determine the kind of the leaking liquid. SOLUTION: Electric resistance values are measured by a resistance-voltage converter 3 comprising a sensor body 2 which is set at a predetermined location and the electric resistance of which varies according to swelling due to penetration of leaking liquid and a conductor 4 interconnecting the body 2 and the converter 3. The rate of variation with time of the electric resistances, and the ratio between the electric resistance values and the rate of variation with time are calculated based on the electric resistance values inputted from the converter 3 by a comparison operation means 5. The time elapsed required for the ratio to reach an alarm value from a predetermined value is compared with a plurality of time values set beforehand according to the kinds of leaking liquids to output alarm signals from the comparison operation means 5, thereby causing an alarm means 6 to determine leaking liquids corresponding to a time value nearest to the time elapsed.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect quickly and certainly a position of leakage or the like in an extremely long linear portion such as slide seal portion of a floating-proof petroleum tank T. SOLUTION: A unidimensional oil leakage sensor 13 constituting a primary portion is laid along the slide seal portion and the unidimensional leakage sensor 13 includes sixteen (normally in the number of N) leakage detecting lines 51 to 516 in parallel with one another. The leakage detecting line 5i includes a leakage detecting element 6i , the leakage detecting elements 6i are arranged and shifted from one another, and conductive rubber which increases resistivity when impregnated with leakage of petroleum is used for the leakage detecting element 6i . A measurement monitoring current is supplied in regulator order to each of the leakage detecting lines 5i through a selective circuit. If leakage should happen, the leakage permeates into the nearest leakage detecting element 6i , its resistivity is increased, and the measurement monitoring current running through the leakage detecting line 5i including the leakage detecting element 6i decreases. Then, with a leakage detecting line 5i determined by means of selective circuit and resistivity/voltage converting circuit and a warning setting device, the positive of leakage can be determined.

When the ratio reaches the alarm value, an alarm signal is outputted from the comparative arithmetic means 5 to actuate alarm means 6 and 7.
