摘要： PURPOSE:To facilitate the transit of a snow removing plate by forming the upper face of a manhole cover lower than the top of a manhole cover receiving frame. CONSTITUTION:A manhole cover 9 is stored in a cover storing hole 7, and the upper face 11 of the cover 9 is formed lower than the top 3 of a manhole cover receiving frame 1. Since the upper face 11 of the cover 9 is formed lower than the top 3 of the cover receiving frame 1, the cover 9 is not largely protruded from the top 3 of the cover receiving frame 1 even if the cover 9 is lifted or inclined by the occurrence of rust on the cover 9 or the infiltration of sediment. When the snow removing plate 1 passes through the front end of the cover receiving frame 1, it is not hooked on the cover 9, and the transit can be facilitated.

CONSTITUTION:An inclined guide face 5 lowered toward the outside from the top 3 is provided on the outer periphery of a manhole cover receiving frame 1, and the guide face 5 is formed into a curved face curved upward. The vertical distance between the top 3 and the lower end of the guide face 5 is set to 5-35mm, and the horizontal distance between the top 3 and the lower end is set to 20-75mm. If the depth is below 5mm, the lower end of the guide face 5 is liable to be exposed in a short period. If the depth exceeds 35mm, the weight of the receiving frame 1 becomes too large. If the width is below 20mm, the inclination angle becomes too large to secure sufficient depth. If the width exceeds 75mm, the weight of the receiving frame 1 becomes too large. Since the guide face 5 is formed into the curved face curved upward, a snow removing plate is smoothly guided by the top 3, and the transit can be facilitated.
