摘要： PURPOSE: To enhance productivity and to lower the production cost in the production of a planar thermoplastic resin having an embossed pattern. CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic resin sheet 11 is pressed to the endless belt 15 on the outer peripheral surface of a first feed roll 13 by an elastic roll 16 and superposed on the endless belt 15. The sheet 11 superposed on the endless belt 15 is heated above the softening point of the sheet 11, moved to an embossed pattern forming roll 17 accompanied by the rotation of first and second feed rolls 13, 14 to be subjected to embossing by the tension of the belt 15 having an angle of contact of 5 deg. or more with respect to the roll 17. At this time, this embossing is supported by the pressing of a pressure roll 18.

SOLUTION: A sheet working apparatus 1 is constituted by including a heating means 50 for heating a stamper roll 21 externally and a cooling means 70 for cooling a thermoplastic resin 10 after transfer, and a heat insulating material 23 is placed between rolls 21, 22. Accordingly, in a transfer part 20A, the roll 21 is heated efficiently by the heating means 50 to high temperatures, while in a peel part 20B, the resin 10 after transfer and the roll 21 are cooled efficiently by the cooling means 70 to low temperatures. In this way, a large temperature difference is generated between the transfer part 20A and the peel part 20B to produce sheets stably.

The roll 13 is equipped with a roll main body having a surface for forming the embossed pattern and with seal rings fitted on the opposite sides of the roll main body respectively.
