    • PURPOSE:To inhibit the cooling of a heated thermoplastic resin sheet and prevent the generation of a drag line, and to shorten homogenizing and molding cycles by preventing a wide contact with the end surface of a female die of the sheet when the sheet is stretched previously by a plug. CONSTITUTION:A resin sheet 32 is positioned along the inner circumferential surface of a cavity section 21A in a female die 21 by pressure difference through evacuation and air compression by air paths 41, 42 between the female die 21 and a plug 33. Since projecting sections 26 for mold-release plates 24 are further moved downward by fixing quantities by a drive, the sheet 32 after a molding is taken out by the female die 21, and mold-released. Accordingly, since the sheet 32 is brought into contact with the end surface 21c of the female die only by its corner section, the sheet 32 is hardly cooled by a contact with the end surface 21c, a drag line is not generated in a molding, and the sheet is also stretched excellently, thus manufacturing the molding having uniform thickness and superior strength. Since the female die 21 is cooled sufficiently, a molding cycle is shortened, and productivity is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To shape recessed and projected patterns on a container and prevent the generation of rain-drop, poor appearance or the like, by a method wherein a thermoplastic resin sheet is heated by a heating plate, formed by heat resistant fibers and provided with a recessed and projected surface, and the sheet is formed through vacuum molding and/or air-pressure molding. CONSTITUTION:A heating plate 11 is provided with an air permeable heating plate 14 on the surface thereof so as to cover venting holes 13 and is provided integrally with a mesh, employing heat resistant fibers such as metallic fibers or carbon fibers for example, on a surface contacting with a sheet 1 through sintering method or the like whereby the air permeable heating plate 14 is formed so as to have recesses and projections. The sheet 1 is introduced between the heating plate 11 and a forming template 15 to pinch and press the sheet 1. Subsequently, pressurized air is supplied through the venting holes 17 of cavities 16 to bring the sheet 1 in contact with the surface of the heating plate 14. Thereafter, the sheet 1 is heated by a heater 12 to transfer the recessed and projected patterns on the surface of the heating plate onto the sheet 1 whereby the recessed and projected patterns are shaped on the sheet 1. According to this method, a molded form, having the recessed and projected patterns, excellent in surface glossiness and having no rain-drop, may be obtained.
