摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for a resin foam whereby a molded item having a more homogeneous and finer cell structure can be obtained by a supercritical method. SOLUTION: In this production method, a supercritical-state gas is caused to permeate into a resin composition which comprises 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin and 0.1-40 pts.wt. layered silicate having an average particle size (length) of 100 nm or lower, in which the peak angle value of the layered silicate can not be confirmed by the wide-angle X-ray diffraction, and which is kept at a temperature in the range of from the melting point (Tm) to (Tm+50) deg.C; then, the composition is degassed by cooling to a temperature in the range of (the crystallization temperature of the resin composition ±20 deg.C). Such a layered silicate is homogeneously dispersed in the composition and, even when its amount is small, can realize the same effect as obtained in the presence of a large number of foaming nuclei, thus giving a molded item having a homogeneous fine cell structure.
