      SOLUTION: In a method for driving the nematic liquid crystal for visually recognizing a predetermined picture by displaying the predetermined picture in continuous frame units, the picture displayed in the preceding frame is deleted at the rising of each one of the continuous frames. The display of the predetermined picture in each frame is performed by applying a picture display voltage to a pair of electrodes for the nematic liquid crystal according to the picture data, and the deletion of the picture at rising of each frame is performed by applying a picture deletion voltage having notching to do with the picture data to the pair of electrodes.
