    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing paste for electrodes and a paste composite for electrodes which are superior in storing stability and on which a catalyst layer provided with a pore volume sufficient for obtaining a good power generating function can be formed. SOLUTION: The paste for the electrode, in which particles provided with a specified average particle diameter is uniformly dispersed is obtained by agitating and mixing carbon black, by which catalyst metal is carried, polyelectrolyte, organic solvent and at least one component from carbon fiber and water with each of the component according to need. Thus the carbon black is made into minute particles. The agitation is continued until the average particle diameter of the dispersed particles in the mixed solvent becomes a specified value. Next, by adding dispersant to the mixed solvent and agitating and mixing it, the paste for electrodes is obtained, in which the particle provided with the specified average particle diameter is uniformly dispersed.
