    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce high frequency noise generated when a rocker pin and a pulley are kept into contact with each other by reducing high frequency vibration of the rocker pin mounted on a metallic belt of a belt type continuously variable transmission.
      SOLUTION: In this belt type continuously variable transmission 1, a desired change gear ratio can be achieved by changing a pulley width of a driving pulley 5 and a driven pulley 8, and changing effective diameters of the driving pulley 5 and the driven pulley 8. The metallic belt 7 is a chain type metallic belt, and comprises a guide rail 50 receiving at least a part of the metallic belt 7, and a rail holding part 65 holding the guide rail 50 displaceably corresponding to the change of a passing locus of the metallic belt 7 corresponding to the change of the change gear ratio. The guide rail 50 is provided with a magnetic field generator 60 for generating the magnetic field in a receiving part 51 for the metallic belt 7, of the guide rail 50.
