SOLUTION: This on-vehicle entertainment system is provided with a plurality of sound sources, a head unit mounted on the front seat side and a rear controller mounted on the rear seat side. The head unit has a control changeover switch for switching a front control for selecting a front sound source to be reproduced on the front seat side and controlling the front sound source and a rear control for selecting a rear source to be reproduced on the rear seat side and controlling the rear sound source. Thus, the control of the rear sound source is made possible from the front seat side. The head unit is provided with a permission switch for switching a permitting state in which an operation for the rear controller is permitted and a prohibiting state in which the operation for the rear controller is prohibited. Thus, an audio operation at the rear seat can be limited. Connection and disconnection of a rear speaker can be switched according to a difference of the rear sound source and the front sound source.
