    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter capable of eliminating the need of prolonging a connection member or increasing the number of connection members when connecting primary side and secondary side capacitors to a circuit, improving space efficiency, reducing power loss, and reducing the number of components.SOLUTION: A power control unit includes a primary side capacitor 42 and a secondary side capacitor 43. Then, external connection terminals of a pair of conductor plates of the secondary side capacitor include: a secondary side capacitor positive electrode terminal 50a and a secondary side capacitor negative electrode terminal 51a arranged on one side of an opening and respectively connected with the transistor of a power module; the other secondary side capacitor positive electrode terminal and the other secondary side capacitor negative electrode terminal respectively connected with the transistor of the power module; and a secondary side capacitor intermediate part negative electrode terminal arranged between the secondary side capacitor negative electrode terminal and the other secondary side capacitor negative electrode terminal of a negative electrode conductor plate and connected with the primary side capacitor negative electrode terminal 47b of the primary side capacitor.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power control unit that can efficiently optimize the arrangement of each component of a converter circuit and cool a reactor.SOLUTION: In a power control unit, a reactor 41, primary and secondary capacitors 42, 43 and a connecting connector 44 are arranged in a first space 14 defined gravitationally under a water jacket 10, while a power module 60 and a gate drive board 9 are arranged in a second space 15 defined gravitationally upward. The reactor is fixed to a lower surface of the water jacket, and the power module is fixed to an upper surface of the water jacket. In the first space, the reactor 41 and the primary capacitor 42 are juxtaposed, and the connecting connector 44 and the secondary capacitor 43 are arranged in respective regions formed opposite to the reactor and the primary capacitor in a perpendicular direction.
