    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent power from being consumed until a monitorable state comes and to ensure that monitoring is started in the monitorable state. SOLUTION: While this alarm 10 is in a shipped state, a locking part 3 is partially housed in the casing of the alarm 10 and does not perform its locking function (function for locking the casing to a predetermined object). A reed switch (power switch) 17 provided inside the casing of the alarm 10 is kept off. When the user pulls out the locking part 3 thus housed, the locking part 3 of the alarm 10 protrudes to a predetermined position outside the alarm 10 and can perform its locking function and the reed switch 17 is turned on. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ship an alarm unit in a state in which a battery is connected on a maker side so as to eliminate a need to set or replace a battery by a user, and to start a monitoring operation through an easy operation when the alarm unit is installed.SOLUTION: The alarm unit includes a sensor part which has a battery 28 for supplying operation electric power incorporated and fixed in a housing body, and detects a fire, and an inspection switch 52 for confirming an alarming operation. A CPU 36 functions as a supervisory control part 62 which outputs an alarm on determining a fire from a detection signal of the sensor part, and confirms the alarming operation in response to an operation signal from the inspection switch 52. A mode setting part 64 of the CPU 36 sets a low-power-consumption mode in a state of electric power supply from the battery 28 at the time of shipment, and changes the mode to a supervisory mode when the predetermined operation signal by the inspection switch 52 is determined in the set low-power-consumption mode at the time of installation or when an alarm transfer interlocking signal from another externally connected alarm unit is received.

SOLUTION: The alarm includes a sensor part for attaching and fixing a battery 28 for feeding operating power in a housing to detect a fire, and an inspection switch 52 for confirming an alarm operation. A CPU 36 includes a function of a monitoring control part 62 for determining a fire from a detection signal of the sensor part, outputting alarm, and confirming alarm operation on the basis of an operation signal from the inspection switch 52. Upon shipping, a mode setting part 64 of the CPU 36 sets a low power consumption mode while receiving power supply from the battery 28, and makes a switch to a monitoring mode in discriminating a prescribed operation signal by the inspection switch 52 during setting the low power consumption mode, or in receiving a transmission interlock signal from another alarm connected to the outside when installed. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke sensor, capable of maintaining a state where smoke is easy to flow to a fire detection part even in a dusty environment.
SOLUTION: The smoke sensor 1 including the fire detection part 10 which detects occurrence of a fire by detecting a change in concentration of smoke and a mesh body 11 permitting passage of smoke to the fire detection part comprises a motor 15 and a gear 14 for sliding the mesh body 11. The mesh body 11 can be slid by operating the motor 15 and the gear 14. Therefore, since a portion located closer to a ceiling side where dust is easy to accumulate of each portion of the outer circumferential surface of the mesh body 11 can be moved, accumulation of dust to only a specific portion of the outer circumferential surface can be prevented. Consequently, even if the smoke sensor 1 set in a dusty environment, the passage of smoke to the mesh body 11 is never disturbed by dust, and the state where smoke is easy to flow to the detection part 10 can be maintained for a long period.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inappropriate usage by continuously outputting warning, even when a user exchanges batteries, when a service period for guaranteeing the operation elapses.
SOLUTION: When the deterioration of a battery voltage is continuously detected for a predetermined time, a battery capacity monitoring part 66 determines battery failure and outputs the warning. A service period monitoring part 64 stores a passage time 68, from the start of usage in a non-volatile memory 60 so as to output the warning, when determining that the passage time 68 becomes the predetermined service period. When the battery is exchanged for reusing the unit, after a fault warning has been outputted by detecting the end of the service time, the service time monitoring part 64 determines the end of the service period again, based on the passage time 68 held in the nonvolatile memory 60 so as to output the warning.
