SOLUTION: The first noncontact card 1 that is inserted through a card slot 22 is taken into the casing 20 of the apparatus by a conveying means and stopped over an internal antenna 11. The second noncontact card 2 is enclosed and held in a card pocket 23 on the front of an external antenna 12. As the transaction process proceeds, the internal antenna 11 and the external antenna 12 are switched from one to the other and a process on the first card 1 is performed by communicating with the first card 1 using the internal antenna 11.
