      SOLUTION: This magnetic resonance imaging system is equipped with a static magnetic field generating means for generating a static magnetic field, a gradient magnetic field generating means for generating the gradient magnetic field in the space of the static magnetic field, a uniformity adjusting means having the shim tray which holds a shim member for adjusting the uniformity of the static magnetic field and arranged between the static magnetic field generating means and the gradient magnetic field generating means and a means for suppressing the temperature variation of the shim member.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus which is effective for imaging methods other than the EPI method and can reduce noises associated with the vibration of an inclined magnetic field coil without affecting fast imaging.
      SOLUTION: In the sequence wherein current pulses cyclically applied to the inclined magnetic field coil 13 exist, current values × application time in the waveforms of the current pulses adjacent to each other is fixed but the current values are given values different from those of the application time. The application time is varied within a range affecting none of TE and TR. This can lower the peak of the spectrum of the applied currents to the inclined magnetic field coil 13, thereby causing a drop in the noise levels.

When the sound reaches the ear position, the sound field of the opposite phase and the same amplitude relative to the noise is calculated, and the added sound source is made to generate the calculated sound field.

      SOLUTION: An open magnet 1 is provided with a generation source of the static magnetic field, which comprises magnetic poles 4a and 4b where annular ferromagnetic bodies 5a and 5b are formed. The magnetic poles 4a and 4b generate the static magnetic field in a volume space on the side of surfaces opposing each other. On opposite sides of the opposing surfaces of the magnetic poles 4a and 4b, sheet-like yokes 2a and 2b are magnetically connected via the generation source of the static magnetic field, and the sheet-like yokes 2a and 2b are magnetically connected with each other by a pillar-shaped yoke 6. For the magnetic pole 4a-1 positioned on the side of an opening part and the magnetic pole 4a-2 positioned on the side of the pillar-shaped yoke 6 among the magnetic poles 4a, ferromagnetic materials having different magnetic characteristics are used. Various kinds of signals are exchanged between the gantry means and the control means and electric power is supplied through the first and the second connector means coupled mutually when the images are taken. Electric power is supplied to a temperature control means or the like to maintain a state of temperature or the like of a magnetic field generating means or the like on the gantry means through the first and the third connector means coupled mutually when no image is taken.
