All current collector tabs of the positive electrode or the negative electrode are collected and welded to be integrated, and the shortest distance between a weld mark of the integrated current collector tabs to the inner surface of the exterior case or the sealing case and the edge of the integrated current collector tabs in the direction of the width is 0.5 mm or shorter.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery having high reliability and excellent productivity, and provide a manufacturing method for the battery.SOLUTION: A battery is provided with an electrode group in which a plurality of cathodes and a plurality of anodes are laminated. The cathode has a body part and a current collection tab part that is narrower than the body part, and is projected from the body part, and separators having a main body part covering the body part of the cathode and an extension part are disposed at both faces of the cathode having a cathode mixture layer at both sides of a collector. The two separators have a junction with at least a portion of a peripheral part welded to each other, and the main body part of one of the separators is substantially parallel to the cathode surface. The outer periphery of the collector in the body part of the cathode projects from the outer edge of the cathode mixture layer, and the outer periphery bends toward the side of the separator substantially parallel to the cathode surface. The battery can be manufactured by a manufacturing method in which a surface in contact with a punch in the cathode at the time of punching out with a punch and a die is set to be the separator side substantially parallel to the cathode side.
