    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform at high speed and stably timing at which pull-in for tracking servo in seek operation is performed even for an optical disk in which a land and a groove are formed on a recording plane.
      SOLUTION: Such a seek control method is constituted that a light spot is moved to an arbitrary track by moving an optical pickup 110 to its radial direction for an optical disk 100 in which a track is formed spirally by a land and a groove formed on an information recording plane. In this case, when seek control is performed, a time from start of seek to pull-in in a target track is calculated, rotation quantity of the optical disk in the calculated time is calculated, it is discriminated whether pull-in is performed within a pull-in evacuation range in a land/groove switching part X in a track on the information recording plane of the disk based on the calculated rotation quantity of the optical disk, a pull-in start position is changed so that pull-in is performed evacuating the evacuation range based on the discriminated result.
