    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator vane structure for a steam turbine to eliminate a liquid film generated on a stator vane surface to reduce rotor blade erosion caused by collision of water droplets generated from wet steam.SOLUTION: To attain the above-described object, in a steam turbine having a turbine stage including stator vanes 1 and rotor blades 2 provided downstream of the stator vanes in a working fluid flow direction, the stator vane is formed in a hollow vane shape by plastically deforming a metal plate, and a slit 24 is formed by overlaying an airfoil suction side metal plate and an airfoil pressure side metal plate with a gap therebetween in the tail section 8 of the stator vane 1, so that the slit guides liquid droplets stuck on a vane surface into the stator vane.
