    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check the validity of time stamp information which is created by a new encryption scheme or a time stamping method without updating validation client software. SOLUTION: A time stamp information service system is composed of client devices which are connected to one another on a communication network, time stamp information issuing devices, trusted third-party organization devices and a time stamp information validating server device. In this system, when the time stamp information validating server device accepts a message which requires the validation of time stamp information from a client device, it analyzes the time stamp information in the message and judges whether or not it can validate it in itself. If the validation is judged to be being possible, the time stamp information validating server device conducts validation in itself. If validation is judged to be impossible, it specifies the issuer device of the time stamp and requests it to conduct validation.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of an electronic signature action by an input that does not depend on memory and an output that is easy for eyes to recognize.
      SOLUTION: Handwritten information inputted from a handwriting input device is compared with handwritten information of a secret key holder preregistered in a signature device. Only when a person is confirmed to be the person himself/herself as a result of handwriting determination, an electronic signature is performed on an electronic document, and how the signature is attached is visibly recognized by pasting the handwriting information on the electronic document as an image. This makes a format close to a document preparing method on the conventional paper base to improve the convenience of an electronic signature action.
