That is, the method comprises the step to acquire the storage information of the radio IC chip mounted on the recording medium from a reader which reads data from the recording medium, the step to specify the recording medium by collating the acquired storage information with a data base which records the corresponding state between the storage information per the radio IC chip and the recording medium, the step to manage a corresponding recording medium in accordance with previously set management contents pertaining to the specified recording medium and the step to output the results of the management procedures to an output device.
