      SOLUTION: A plate member 1 is formed by connecting a first base 11 to a second base 12. A first electrode 21 and a second electrode 22 are formed in the positions opposed to the crossing part of the passages 2, 3 on the first base 11 and the second base 12. A migration liquid is put in the liquid basins on both ends of the passage 2 and one end of the passage 3, and a sample solution is put in the liquid basin on the other end of the passage 3. The electrophoresis is performed in the state where a voltage is applied to the first electrode 21 and the second electrode 22, and a high voltage is applied to both ends of the passage 2 in this state. The components in the sample are separated in the migration passage and detected by an optical method or the like.
