    • PURPOSE:To reduce the time from a data input till its output by applying inter- communication between a facsimile equipment and a facsimile mail equipment in a facsimile application equipment to omit the channel setting and the procedure establishing time. CONSTITUTION:The case of reading a picture data stored in a storage area with a specific number called a mail box in a storage section 7 is explained. At first a number of a mail box read in a character readable by an OCR 8 is written on an OCR sheet and set to a facsimile equipment 2. A telephone set 1 calls a facsimile mail device 4 to start the call procedure. A picture data on the OCR sheet set by the facsimile equipment 2 is sent as a message via the prescribed procedure. The OCR 8 of the device 4 receives the message, extracts 1 character code from the picture data and sends the code to a control section 9. The control section 9 regards it that the received character code represents a mail box number and commands the preparation of a picture data output from a relevant mail box to the storage section 7 and the transmission control section 6 selects the mode to the transmission mode.

    • PURPOSE:To improve service and the reliability of voice inputs by preparing several kinds of messages to request the inputs and selecting and outputting a proper message. CONSTITUTION:When a user receives a service in an information service system answering through voices, the user dials to a telephone line corresponding to a necessary input requesting message. When the line is connected, a control part 12 decides the kind of the input request and prepares for the voice input. After completing the preparation, the input request message is outputted. In accordance with the level of a user using an audio response information service, the input requesting messages for beginners and experts are prepared. A beginner can prevent malfunction by listening a careful message and an expert can receive an efficient service.
