    • PURPOSE:To improve the operation precision for depositing or withdrawing money by allowing a separation section to approach the money stored in a storage section when separating money and to retreat from a money depositing passage when depositing money. CONSTITUTION:When bills B stacked in a storage section are to be separably fed out, an arm 29 is set almost horizontally. The guide roller 39 at the end of the arm 29 and a pickup roller 34 on the side are brought into contact with the bills B. When a feed roller 20 is rotated, the pickup roller 34 is rotated synchronously with the rollers, uppermost multiple bills B are fed to a separation section constituted with the feed roller 20 and a gate roller 25, and the bills B are separably fed out one by one via the friction resistance of the gate roller 25. When bills are to be deposited, the arm 29 is rotated, and the rollers 34 and 39 are retreated toward an impeller 54 from above the bills B. That is, they are retreated from the passage of bills to be stacked so that the bills B are reliably pinched by the impeller 54. Accordingly, the operation precision for depositing or withdrawing bills B is improved.

The bills B stacked through stacking means in containing section is taken out sequentially through separation /take-out means comprised of a pick-up roller 34, a feed roller 20, a gate roller 25, etc. The stacking means and the separation/take-out means are retractable against the stacking face. Here, a guide roller 39 contactable against the bill B to limit deformation is provided in the vicinity of feed-out means or a pick-up roller 34 while an arm 49 for returning the bill B held between the rollers 20, 25 upon completion of separation/take-out motion is provided.
