    • PURPOSE:To eliminate obstructive parts to the circulation air flow so that turbulent flow is hardly produced and abnormalities occur less frequently, by a method wherein a partition plate which divides the periphery of a fan between the circulating side and a cooling side is provided within an extent where the partition plate does not interfere with the blade width of the fan. CONSTITUTION:A fan casing 8 of a fan 6 is divided by a partition plate 7 into a circulating side A on the front side and a cooling side B on the rear side. Circulation of air in a drum 3 is carried out on the circulating side A and suction of outside air and air exhaust are carried out on the cooling side B through a rear plate suction ports 14-1 and 14-2 which are provided on a rear plate 14 covering the rear face of an outer frame 1. The partition plate 7 that divides the fan into the circulating side A and the cooling side B is installed within an extent where the partition plate 7 does not interfere with a fan blade 6-1 in both blade width (a) and axial directions, and if this constitution is restricted, the extent of the interference is limited to less than half the blade width (a). Thereby, the air flow is not disturbed by the partition plate 7 and the original performance of the blade 6-1 of the fan 6 can be exhibited sufficiently.

    • PURPOSE:To make washed clothes difficult to crumple at the time of drying by providing means for sending warm air on the dryer body side to the pedestal body side through combining a dryer body with a pedestal body. CONSTITUTION:When a pedestal body 40 is combined with a dryer body 1, warm air heated from the dryer body 1 side is sent to the pedestal body 40 side via exhaust air course 27 by a pedestal inlet port 44 at the top of the pedestal body 40 engaging with an air outlet 29. Then, after water is removed from objects to be dried within the pedestal body 40, drying on the pedestal body 40 side from a pedestal air outlet 45 is conducted by the use of the warm air of the dryer body 1. In this case, ordinary clothes are dried by the dryer body 1, but clothes being apt to crumple at the time of drying can be hung by hanger and dried in the pedestal body 40. Thus, clothes are placed in the same state as air drying by suspension drying so that they are difficult to crumple at the time of drying.

    • PURPOSE:To allow selecting either automatic operation or timer operation without a need to provide a separate change-over switch by a method wherein a time switch is provided with a contact by which a timer motor is driven but not by signal from a dryness detector. CONSTITUTION:A time switch 23 consists of a power source contact 24 by which a power source 3 is turned on and off, a motor contact 25 by which a motor 5 is turned on and off, a timer motor contact 27 by which a timer motor 26 is turned on and off and a main spindle 28 for operating the time switch. The timer motor 26 drives a cam which opens and closes the contacts. A dryness detector 29 detects the degree of dryness of clothes to be dried in a rotary drum 2. A dryness detection circuit 30 judges the degree of dryness of clothes to be dried in the rotary drum 2 according to signals from the dryness detector 29. A timer motor drive circuit 31 drives the timer motor 26 according to signals from the dryness detection circuit 30. A timer knob 23 is provided on the main spindle 28 to operate the time switch.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a convenient and economical clothing dryer by providing a means for stirring clothes by inverting and reciprocatively moving the circular surface boards fitted on the both side surfaces of an inner tub so as to be rotatable and a cloths stirring lifter arranged in the circular board. CONSTITUTION: When the clothes are stored in a drying chamber 14 and a motor 7 is driven, the side surface circular boards 3 and 4 are rotated while being decelerated by a pulley 8 and a belt 9 and the clothes stirring lifter 6 connected to the side surface circular boards 3 and 4 are moved with it. The motor 7 is inverted when the lifter 6 comes to a horizontal position. Then the motor 7 is inverted again when the lifter 6 comes to the horizontal position opposing it. That is, the rotary angle of the lifter 6 is 180 deg.C, the operation is repeated and the clothes are stirred. When the lifter 6 comes to the horizontal position, the clothes are stirred upward so that they are not entangled and a hot air from a heater 13 can be uniformly blown to the clothes.

    • Disclosed is an apparatus for controlling an electric clothes dryer having an electrical heater arranged to be supplied with electric power from a power source to generate heat so as to dry clothes by air heated by the heater, the apparatus comprising a switching device for opening/closing an electrical connection between the power source and the heater in response to a control signal, a voltage detecting circuit for detecting a voltage of the power source and for generating an overvoltage signal when the detected voltage exceeds a predetermined value, and a control signal generating circuit responsive to the overvoltage signal for generating the control signal for turning on/off the switching device. The control signal is formed so that the opening period of the switching device corresponds to the value of the overvoltage signal. Further, the opening period of the switching device is selected the value of power consumption per unit time of the heater always becomes a predetermined value in the case where the supply of power to the heater from the power source is stopped during the opening period of the switching device.
