摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which makes it possible to decrease the number of drive shafts of inspection and repairing devices and the like, to downsize and streamline the devices and to simplify control systems.
SOLUTION: The device has a jointed structure consisting of a spherical rotator and a container which houses and holds the rotator and a rotator fixing mechanism which constrains the movement of the rotator. Moreover, the rotator fixing mechanism is equipped with magnetic particles placed in a sliding section of the rotator and an exciting coil which is set up outside the rotator to constrain the rotator by fixing the magnetic particles through electrification. This makes it possible to decrease the number of drive shafts of inspection and repairing devices and the like, to downsize and streamline the devices and to simplify control systems.

SOLUTION: The device for the maintenance work on the reactor pressure vessel 1 consists of a dolly 18 equipped with a working head 30 which is brought into the annulus section 8 of the reactor pressure vessel 1 and travels on a baffle plate 6, rope-shaped towing members 20 and 21 for towing the dolly 18 equipped with the working head 30, guide members 16 and 17 for the towing members 20 and 21 fixed on required positions in the annulus section 8, reels 24 and 25 which are laid out above the reactor pressure vessel 1 and around which one end of each of the towing members 20 and 21 is wound and the working head 30 which is removably mounted on the dolly 18.
