    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pad type bearing device with water lubrication and a horizontal shaft water turbine capable of securely lubricating a bearing pad by using water as lubricant, maintaining wear resistance of a bearing sliding surface for a long period of time, and corresponding to oilless operation.
      SOLUTION: The pad type bearing device for supporting a horizontal rotating shaft includes a plurality of bearing pads formed of resin material on a sliding surface side so as to surround the sliding surface of the rotating shaft. The bearing pad arranged on a lower half part is immersed in lubricating water, and pumping means are arranged in peripheries of both end parts of the bearing pad. As for such the pad type bearing device, only the bearing pad arranged on the lower half part (a load side) is arranged so as to be always immersed in the lubricating water out of the bearing pads arranged to surround the sliding surface of the rotating shaft, and a periphery of the sliding surface of the bearing pad is surrounded with the lubricating water. Thus, the bearing device can be securely lubricated and operated in a fluid lubrication state.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable pitch propeller driver for preventing a deviation of a mounting angle of a variable pitch blade when an operation of the mounting angle of the blade is not necessary, and when a power to a motor driver is interrupted or a control function of the motor driver is not normally operated in an emergency. SOLUTION: An exciting operation type electromagnetic clutch passed between a reduction gear coupled to a unit carried on a rotary main shaft 1 of an impeller to convert a rotary motion into a reciprocating motion and a motor rotor shaft and combined on the shaft, and a non-exciting operation type electromagnetic clutch, are installed on a steady trestle. If the power to the motor driver is interrupted and a controlling function of the motor driver is not normally operated when an angle operation of the variable pitch blade is not required, exciting is interrupted, a motor rotor shaft and a reduction gear input shaft are disconnected. Meanwhile, the reduction gear input shaft is coupled to a reduction gear case mounted on the rotary main shaft, and rotated at the synchronizing speed with the rotary main shaft.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a variable pitch blade driving device which can prevent the dislocation of an attachment angle of a variable pitch blade when the angular operation of the variable pitch blade is unnecessitated, or in the emergency case that power supply source to the electric driving device is interrupted or the controlling function of the device is not normally operated. SOLUTION: An excitation operation type electromagnetic clutch 14 and a non-excitation operation type electromagnetic clutch 15 are combined with each other on a through shaft between an electric machine rotor shaft 10a and a decelerator 6 connected to a device mounted on a rotary main shaft of an impeller for converting rotation to reciprocation, and arranged on a static frame 13. In the case that angular operation of a variable pitch blade is not necessitated and power supply source to an electric driving device is interrupted or the controlling function of the device is not normally operated, the excitation is stopped. The electric machine rotor shaft 10a is disconnected from a decelerator input shaft 6a. On the other hand, the decelerator input shaft 6a is connected to a decelerator case 6d attached coaxially therewith, and rotated with the speed synchronous to the rotary main shaft.
