    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which prevents the electrification of static electricity on an image display surface of a liquid crystal panel by enhancing a contacting property between the image display surface and conductive rubber of the liquid crystal panel.
      SOLUTION: In the image display device, the liquid crystal panel which allows a TFT substrate SUB1 and a CF substrate SUB2 to face each other has a translucent conductive film ITO on the surface of the image display surface side of the CF substrate SUB2 and is provided with a conductive rubber COR which has a conductive adhesive material COA on the translucent conductive film ITO and the surface contacting with a mold frame MFR. Therein, the conductive adhesive material COA surface side of one end of the conductive rubber COR is brought into contact with at least one end of the liquid crystal panel LCD and the conductive adhesive material COA surface side of the other end of the conductive rubber COR is brought into contact with one part of the mold frame MFR. Further, the liquid crystal panel is inserted and held between the inner surface of a shield case SHD and the liquid crystal panel and the translucent conductive film ITO is electrically connected with the shield case SHD via the conductive adhesive material COA and the conductive rubber COR outsides an effective display region AR.

Each of the pixels has the light emitting element of a current driving-type, a driving transistor connected between a power line and the light emitting element, and a capacitance element having one end connected to a gate electrode of the driving transistor. The image voltage is input to the other end of the capacitance element during the writing period. An inclined wave voltage which changes a voltage level thereof according to time is input to the other end of the capacitance element during a light emission period following the writing period. In the image display device, the reset switching elements of all the pixels are turned off during light emission, and a PWM signal is supplied from the drive circuit to the signal line. The image display device has two or more luminance display modes, and the periodical cycle of the PWM signal supplied from the drive circuit to the signal line during the light emission in the low-luminance display mode among the two or more luminous display modes is shorter than the periodical cycle of the PWM signal supplied from the drive circuit to the signal line during the light emission in a standard luminance display mode.
