摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel and its barrier rib having both of high precision and high brightness capable of coping with full-high vision.
SOLUTION: The barrier rib of the PDP is made of a bar-like glass member prepared by a redrawing method, the barrier rib is fixed by a dielectric layer installed on the rear panel glass substrate, and phosphor is formed on the side faces of the barrier rib. According to the redrawing method, a glass barrier rib can be obtained of which the thickness is small and the aspect ratio is large. By this, a discharge space and the phosphor amount per one pixel of the panel are apt to be secured, and the reduction in brightness accompanied with high panel precision can be suppressed. Moreover, since the glass carrier rib has high denseness and high transparency, efficiency of reflection and transmittance by light-emission of the phosphor can be improved, it is advantageous for brightness improvement.
