SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has a first substrate and a second substrate opposing to each other across a liquid crystal layer, and the first and second substrates are made of a resin base material. The display device is provided with: a pressure-sensitive layer formed on the liquid crystal layer side of the first substrate and fixing a liquid crystal drive layer where pixels are formed into a matrix to the first substrate; and an underlay layer formed between a light shielding film and a color filter layer corresponding to the pixel and the second substrate, and made of a thin film material having a coefficient of thermal expansion smaller than that of the second substrate. Thereby, even when the display is bent, accumulation of distortion in the data line 11 corresponds to the length h of the line, and this suppresses distortion.
