    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional speed control device that the gear ratio is high and it is difficult to perform the acceleration control from such a low speed as the rotational frequency of the engine is around the idling when a vehicle speed control part and an engine control part are separate because in the conventional speed control device, the vehicle speed is controlled by changing the gain only according to the vehicle speed.
      SOLUTION: When the vehicle speed is increased from such a low speed mentioned above, the target throttle opening is corrected according to the characteristic of the engine, and is outputted to the engine control part as a corrected/ controlled target throttle opening. As a result, the acceleration from the low speed as mentioned can be smoothly performed by transmitting the corrected target throttle opening to the engine control part without specially modifying the engine control part.
