摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting bracket composing a shock absorber for a steering mechanism so as to be adjusted in a direction where load-deflection characteristics can be easily adjusted, and in particular, peak loads can be easily raised.SOLUTION: The mounting bracket 1 is a support member which causes a steering column 2 to support a vehicle body member 3. A mounting surface 11 which is fixed to the vehicle body member 3 and a support surface 12 which is mounted on the steering column 2 compose a bent cross section through a main bent edge 14 which extends to be orthogonal to the steering column 2. In this case, the mounting bracket 1 for the steering column 2 has a bead 15 formed which is disposed in such a way as to intersect a main bent edge 14 while extending over the mounting surface 11 and the support surface 12.
