    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection checker in an optoelectric composite cable for inspecting the optoelectric continuity of the optoelectric composite cable by a single inspection apparatus, dispensing with the interposition of a harness for inspection, reducing inspection time, and dispensing with a preliminary inspection, and to provide a method for inspecting the connection of the connection checker.
      SOLUTION: A light signal for inspection from a light-emitting element 3 at a light output section 1a is outputted to the optical fiber of the optoelectric composite cable 15, and the light signal propagated through the optical fiber is received by a light receiving element 9 at a light input section 1c. An arithmetic circuit 12 compares the quantity of received light by the light receiving element 4 for monitoring with that by the light receiving element 9 for inspecting the continuity of the optical fiber. An electric signal for inspection from an electric signal generation circuit 8 at an electric signal output section 1b is outputted to an electric wire in the optoelectric composite cable 15, and an electric signal through the electric wire is detected by an electric signal detection circuit 10 at the electric signal input section 1d, thus inspecting the continuity of the electric wire.
