    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving the drive characteristics of a drive system of a relay of contact set characteristics, and to provide an electromagnetic relay achieving the method.SOLUTION: An electromagnetic relay has at least one contact set support 1, and a plurality of contact springs 15-20 are fixed and paired to form a normal open and/or normal closed contact in the contact set support 1. At least one actuator 7 acts on each active contact spring 15, 16, 17. The actuator 7 is driven movably in the longitudinal direction, by a magnet system composed of an armature 2 and a drive coil 21. The actuation surface of the actuator associated with each active contact spring 15, 16, 17 is formed with a predetermined angle for the operation direction of the actuator 7.
