摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated circuit package for capturing a decodable indicia having a small form factor.SOLUTION: The integrated circuit package comprises an image engine 300 configured as an IC structure having one or more activation region 308 for irradiating, capturing and decoding a decodable indicia. In an embodiment of the image engine 300, the IC structure may include an imaging region 310, a sighting region 312 and an illumination region 314 arranged entirely on a single adjoining substrate 304. The resulting embodiment can be adapted in the range of a form factor 334 which is less than about 500 mm.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indicia reader capable of reading indicia of proximally and distally located targets by a single traction trigger.SOLUTION: A multiple range indicia reader 112 comprises: a proximal laser generator 288 which generates light beam for scanning an indicium on a target T located near the indicia reader 112; a distal laser generator 312 which generates light beam for scanning an indicium on a target T located far from the indicia reader; a single traction trigger for activating the proximal/distal laser generators; a scan mirror 292 for directing light beam to the target T; a photo diode 300 for converting the light reflected from the target T into an output signal; and a decoder for decoding indicia information derived from the output signal. An operator activates selectively the proximal/distal laser generators by the single traction trigger.
