    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a technology which prevents a steel material from being deformed after low-temperature heat treatment, by controlling a factor other than a casting method. SOLUTION: The steel material to be cold-bent which is prevented from causing deformation after low-temperature heat treatment includes 0.35-0.85% C, 3% or less (excluding 0%) Si, 0.1-1% Mn, 1% or less (including 0%) Ni, and further at least one element selected from among Cr, Mo, V, Ti, Nb and W in such a range as to satisfy the following formula (1): [Cr]/3+[Mo]/2+2×[V]+[Ti]+[Nb]+[W]/2≥0.45, wherein [Cr], [Mo], [V], [Ti], [Nb] and [W] represent each elemental content (mass%) in the steel material.
