    • PURPOSE:To enable the starting of an engine to be securely carried out, even in the case where the voltage of a battery has decreased, by supplying the voltage of the battery to an ignition timing control circuit after it has been boosted and further it has been stabilized by lowering the boosted voltage. CONSTITUTION:An ignition unit 1 impresses always the voltage from a battery 2 to the primary side of an ignition coil 3, and cut off the primary side current of the ignition coil 3 at an optimum time in response to the pulse sent out from a pulser coil 4. Consequently, an ignition plug 5 is discharged by the high voltage generated on the secondary side of the ignition coil 3. In this case, the output voltage of the battery 2 is supplied to the primary coil of the ignition coil 3, and at the same time is supplied to a booster circuit 11 consisting of a DC-DC converter. Further, after having been rectified and smoothed by a diode D1 and a capacitor C2, the voltage boosted by the booster circuit 11 is supplied to a constant-voltage circuit 8. And the voltage regulated to a constant voltage via a constant voltage circuit 6 is suppled to an ignition timing control circuit 9.

    • PURPOSE:To stabilize the rotary motion of an engine, and improve the rate of fuel consumption, by opening the upper side of an exhaust port at low-speed- rotation of the engine, closing it from low-speed-rotation to middle-speed- rotation, and opening it at high-speed-rotation, when the upper side of the exhaust port of a two-cycle engine is opened/closed by a control valve, for controllig the exhaust timing. CONSTITUTION:A control valve 11 whose one end is rotated around a shaft 16, for opening/closing the upper side part of an exhaust port 7, is set at the exhaust port 7 of a two-cycle engine 1. The shaft 16 is rotated by an actuator, which is operated by a signal output from an outer control device. This control device outputs a signal to open the upper side of the port 7, according to the rotating speed of the engine, in the range from idling to about 1000 rpm, for improving exchange of gas in a cylinder. From middle-speed-rotation to high- speed-rotation of the engine, the end part of the control valve 11 descends to close the upper side of the exhaust port 7, for delaying the exhaust timing and preventing blow-bye of fresh air. The upper side of the exhaust port 7 is opened again at high-speed-rotation of the engine, to improve the scavenging efficiency.
