    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance rigidity in braking even when the main frame of a front part vehicle body frame is made to be a simple structure by being divided into right and left parts and fastening with a bolt in a frame type using an engine as a part of the vehicle body frame.
      SOLUTION: The front part vehicle body frame 2 includes a head pipe 14 and the main frame 15. The main frame 15 is made to be a right and left divided structure, and the head pipe 14 is held between them and fastened with the bolt. Attaching arms 16, 17 formed on the rear of the main frame 15 are fastened with a bolt to both right and left surfaces in a crank case 18 of the engine 3. A rear open part 55 having a large opening area is provided above the main frame 15, and a front open part 56 having a small opening area is provided below. Thereby, the lower part side of the main frame 15 is allowed to have a high rigidity to withstand a compressive load in braking.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and weight of a vehicle body frame.
      SOLUTION: The vehicle body for a motorcycle forms the vehicle body frame by mounting a center frame 10, a side frame 11 and a rear frame 12 to the engine 8 with the whole utilizing the rigidity of an engine 8. The center frame 10 integrally provided with a head pipe 3 on an upper end part is constituted that it is bolted to the front face side of a cylinder 9 or the like from the front of the vehicle body with a boss 30 provided on the most widest part of the width of the middle part and the lower bosses 31, 32 along the front face of the cylinder 9, making the cylinder mounting surface approximately parallel to the cylinder axis line C1. The side frame 11 is approximately lozenged in a side view, provided in a pair of right and left ones, the front end is bolted to the head pipe 3 from the side, is disposed along the side of the cylinder 9, and the middle part is bolted to a head cover 9a and the lower end part is bolted to a crank case 8a from the side respectively. The rear frame 12 is bolted from the upper part of the crank case rear part 8c to the rear end part, and a pivot 23 is provided at the rear end part so as to support a rear swing arm.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide an air passage in a vehicle body cover with a simple and small molding die by forming a U-shaped notch on the vehicle body cover, folding a tongue piece thus obtained inward or outward, fixing it to a vehicle body at this angle, and forming the air passage on the cover. SOLUTION: A U-shaped notch is provided on an undercover 34, a thin section 34e is folded inward as an elastically deformable hinge, and a hook section 34i provided at the tip section of a tongue piece 34g is hooked on the rear cross member 63 of a vehicle body at this folded angle. The tongue piece 34g is supported on the vehicle body by this hooking only, and it is not required to be stuck by a bolt, a screw or a rivet. Even if the undercover 34 and the rear cross member 63 are relatively displaced, the displacement is absorbed by the folding angle and the hook section 34i to ensure satisfactory assembling. Since the tongue piece 34g is hooked on the vehicle body at the prescribed bending angle, a relatively large air-passage where air flows in or out can be formed at the notch 34i and a portion surrounded by it.
