    • PURPOSE:To improve the oil sealing performance of a plug accommodating chamber and permit cost cut by forming a through hole on a bearing holder and inserting a plug insertion cylinder into the through hole and attaching the undersurface oiltightly onto the upper surface of a cylinder head. CONSTITUTION:A through hole 38 which communicates to the upper surface of the opening of a plug insertion hole 43 of a spark plug 44 is formed on a bearing holder 31. A plug insertion cylinder 46 formed projectingly on the inner surface of a head cover 17 is inserted into the through-hole 38, and the under surface is attached oiltightly onto the upper surface of a cylinder head 6 through a sealing member 58. Each plug accommodating chamber formed by the plug insertion hole 43 and the plug insertion cylinder 46 is sealed oiltightly with a tappet chamber 20 by the sealing member 58. Therefore, the oil sealing performance of the plug accommodating chamber is improved, and cost cut is permitted.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the supporting ability of a valve system cam shaft and reduce its weight by composing bearing holder block groups of respective equal pitch bearing holder block groups on both intake and discharge sides and, fixing them on a cylinder head separately in the axial direction of the valve system cam shaft. CONSTITUTION:On a cylinder head 6 are juxtaposed journal walls 213, 223 on both intake and discharge sides with spaces in the direction of a crank shaft 9. The journal parts of respective valve system cam shafts 23, 24 on both intake and discharge sides are rotatably supported by means of respective journal walls 213, 223 and bearing holder block groups fixed to the upper surfaces of the walls 213, 223 by means of respective inner and outer bolts 25, 26. The bearing holder block groups are composed of respective equal pitch bearing holder blocks 31, 32 on both intake and discharge sides and another holder block. Thereby, respective equal pitch bearing holder blocks 31, 32 on both intake and discharge sides are so formed as to be in the same shape for their mutual intercharge ability.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of seizure, by a method wherein the inner size of an inner peripheral part, extending at right angles with the direction of reciprocating movement is increased, and a rubbing part between the inner periphery of a cylindrical metal and the outer periphery of a crank pin is eliminated. CONSTITUTION:The inner size of the inner peripheral part, crossing the direction of reciprocating movement of a piston 10, of a cylindrical metal 3 is increased over that of other inner peripheral part. When the cylindrical metal 3 is pulled in the direction of reciprocating movement of the piston 10 with a high force for deformation, the oval inner periphery, having a small size in the direction of reciprocating movement and a large size in a direction extending at right angles with the direction of reciprocating movement, is formed in a circular shape. Thereby, no rubbing part is formed between the inner periphery of the cylindrical metal 3 deformed in a circular shape and the outer periphery of a crank pin 21a. This constitution enables an enough amount of lubricating oil to be fed through lubricating oil feed passages 21b and 21c to a space between an inner periphery 3b and the outer periphery of the crank pin 21a, and prevents the occurrence of seizure.
