    • PURPOSE:To certainly carry out torque transmission by a high speed step preceding torque transmission by a low speed step by damping pressure rise of a hydraulic engagement element for the low speed step at the initial stage of in-gear by an accumulator in a low pressure range and making it possible to raise hydraulic pressure of a hydraulic engagement element for a high speed step during that time. CONSTITUTION:In a hydraulic control circuit 10 of a transmission to carry out speed change of forward four steps and a reverse one step, at the time of in-gear by switching from a N range to a D range, by supplying oil to a second gear speed clutch C2 as well as a first gear speed clutch C1, a second gear speed step is once established, and thereafter, by draining oil from the second gear speed clutch C2, the first gear speed step is established. At the time of such squat control, an oil passage L20 connected to a back pressure chamber of an accumulator 21 connected in parallel to the first gear speed clutch C1 is, at the time of second gear speed, made possible to open to the air by a shift valve 13 through a shift valve 14 and an oil passage L21. Consequently, at the time of the second gear speed at the initial stage of in-gear, back pressure of the accumulator 21 is made low pressure, and pressure rise of the first gear speed clutch 1 is damped in a low pressure range where no actual engagement of a clutch is caused.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce an in-gear shock by providing a directional control valve free to control direction in a first position communicating a back pressure chamber of an accumulator connected in parallel to a hydraulic engagement element for a low speed step and a back pressure generation source to each other and in a second position to make internal pressure of the back pressure chamber low pressure by way of cutting this communication. CONSTITUTION:In a hydraulic control circuit 10 of a transmission to carry out speed change of advance four steps and a reverse one step, to an oil passage L23 for back pressure of an accumulator A1 connected in parallel to a hydraulic engagement element C1 for a low speed step, hydraulic pressure from an oil passage L22 is supplied through a directional control valve 33. On the directional control valve 33, hydraulic pressure of the element 1 is made to work through an oil passage L2c, until this hydraulic pressure rises to specified pressure, the oil passage L23 for back pressure is connected to an oil drainage port 33a, and back pressure of the accumulator A1 is made low pressure. At the initial stage of in-gear, pressure rise of the hydraulic engagement element C1 for the low speed step is damped in a low pressure range and the element C1 is gradually engaged, and thereafter, at the point of time when hydraulic pressure of the element C1 rises to the specified pressure, the directional control valve 33 is controlled to change direction and to supply hydraulic pressure to the oil passage L23 for back pressure.
