    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propulsion device in ship which can improve the propeller efficiency. SOLUTION: While a tubular duct 4 with the radius r smaller than the radius Rp of a propeller is provided in the front position of the propeller in a stern, the propeller pitch in the radius position same as the radius position of the duct 4 is made in the minimum value, the propellet pitch at the radius position where the length ratio (r/Rp) to the propeller radius Rp is ±20% by making the radius position as the center, is made in a specific standard design pitch, the propeller pitch at the propeller tip side part where the length ratio is larger than +20%, and at the propeller boss side part where the length ratio is smaller thah -20%, is made larger than the standard design pitch, while in the scope where the length ratio to the propeller radius is smaller than +20%, and larger than -20%, the propeller pitch is made smaller than the standard design pitch.

    • PURPOSE:To cope with small depth of water so as to provide great propulsion by effectively flowing water in and out even if a propulsion propeller is large in diameter. CONSTITUTION:A bow tunnel portion 3f, which slopes upwards from the bow to the stern at thetaf=10 deg.-15 deg. and leads to a propeller portion 3p above the water line WL, and stern tunnels 3R, 3L each of which downwardly slopes astern from the propeller portion 3p at thetae=4 deg.-6 deg. and comprises a stern tunnel portion 3e above the water level WL, are formed at the stern of the hull 1, and the propeller portion 3p is provided with pusher propellers 5R, 5L each of which has a portion that projects above the water line WL. A space portion S which is 5-6% to 0.06 of the diameter D of the propeller is formed between the upper end of each pusher propeller 5R, 5L and the stern tunnel inner surface of the propeller portion 3p, and a sponson portion which projects downwards from the water line WL by 10 to 15% of the diameter D of the propeller is hung down on the side of the propeller portion 3p.
