      SOLUTION: In the hydraulic damper 30 for seismic response control with an end connected to a building structure via the ball joint 42, the ball joint 42 comprises a ball member 44 having a ball 44a, and a support member 46 supporting the ball 44a by rotatably coming into contact with the peripheral surface of the ball 44a of the ball member 44. The support member 46 is provided with a plurality of constitution members 48 and 49 which are divided each other, and the plurality of constitution members 48 and 49 are combined with at least one of means between screw connecting means 48b and 49b and a bolt connecting means 52.

      SOLUTION: In a hydraulic damper wherein pressure accumulated in a buffer 21 is utilized for a driving force of an opening and closing valve 6, to a hydraulic circuit of the single opening and closing valve 6, the one where pressure of oil pressure chamber 4 on either side is higher is connected with the buffer 21- a back pressure chamber of the opening and closing valve 6, a direction switching valve 50 which can connect with a low-pressure side oil pressure chamber 4 a port which ejects back pressure of the opening and closing valve 6 of a pilot operation section 20 is provided, and changes automatically by differential pressure of the oil pressure chamber on either side, the pilot operation section 20 operates with hydraulic pressure transformer of oil pressure chamber with higher pressure, opening or closing movement to influence both directions of piston is made possible in single opening and closing valve-pilot operation section.

      SOLUTION: This hysteretic damper 1 is composed of a pair of plate parts 3a and 3b, and a connecting part 5 of a rectangular sold. The connecting part 5 is sandwiched by an end part of the plate parts 3a and 3b, and the plate parts 3a and 3b and the connecting part 5 are connected in a U shape. The plate parts 3a and 3b and the connecting part 5 are fixed by a penetrating bolt 9 and a nut 11. An end part on the opposite side of a joining part of the plate parts 3a and 3b with the connecting part 5 is joining parts 6a and 6b with an unillustrated structural member, and is provided with a bolt hole 7 to be joined with the structural member. The joining parts 6a sand 6b of the hysteretic damper 1 are joined to the structural member, and when receiving force from the structural member, the plate parts 3a and 3b are elastically plastically deformed, and energy is absorbed.

The switching valve 42 is automatically switched by differential pressure between right-left hydraulic chambers, and opens in a neutral position when the differential pressure between the right-left hydraulic chambers becomes zero, and reliably prevents a malfunction on the dangerous side where the opening-closing valve 6 continuously maintains an open state when pressure remains in the buffer 21 by completely releasing hydraulic pressure in the buffer 21.
