    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method capable of forming an image of high quality by preventing the sticking of magnetic carriers to the surface of an image carrier. SOLUTION: In this method, the surface of the movably formed image carrier is uniformly electrified by a brush electrifying means and then, has an image exposure, an electrostatic charge image formed on the image carrier is developed with a two-component magnetic developer consisting of the magnetic carriers and toner and the obtained toner image is transferred to a transfer member by a roller transfer means. At this time, as a means for supporting/ carrying the magnetic developer, a permanent magnet member 4 which is provided with plural magnetic poles on the surface and formed into a cylindrical shape and rotatable is used and as the magnetic carrier, one whose volume average grain diameter is 10-15μm, measured magnetization σ1000 in a magnetic field of 1000Oe is >=30emu/g and volume resistivity is 10 -10 Ω.cm is used. As the toner, one incorporating a binder resin consisting of a styrene-acrylic copolymer and/or a polyester resin is used.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which influence on an image resulting from the characteristic fluctuation of a magnetic developer can be decreased. SOLUTION: In an image forming method, a developing roller 4 which is made of a cylindrical permanent magnet member on the surface of which opposite polarity magnetic poles are arranged with equal spacings in a circumference direction is provided so as to face to an image carrier moving as supporting an electrostatic charge image, magnetic developer 2 is absorbed on the developing roll 4, the same is transferred to a developing area formed between the developing roll 4 and the image carrier 7, the electrostatic charge image is developed, and thereafter, the developed toner image is transferred and fixed on to a recording member. A toner friction charge amount in the magnetic developer attracted on the developing roller 4 is measured, and when this measured value becomes a predetermined standard value of the toner friction charge amount or more, a process after the development of the electrostatic charge image is proceeded.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve flowability of a magnetic toner and to always obtain good image density even when lots of images are continuously formed in a direct recording device by specifying the material, particle size and amt. of a flowability improving agent to be externally added to the toner particles which constitute the magnetic toner. SOLUTION: A matrix-type recording electrode 3 having lots of small holes is disposed between a toner carrier 1 and a back electrode 2. A toner is sprayed from the toner carrier 1 to the recording body 4 between the recording electrode 3 and the back electrode 2 according to the voltage applied on the recording electrode 3. The magnetic toner to be used for this direct recording device is produced by externally adding a flowability improving agent to toner particles containing 20-60wt.% magnetic powder in a binder resin. The amt. of the flowability improving agent is 0.1-2 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the toner particles and the particle size of the agent is specified to 0.005-1.0μm. As for the flowability improving agent, one of SiO2 , TiO2 , Al2 O3 , etc., can be used.
