    • PURPOSE: To prevent the deposition and residence of solvent and to obtain a good rare-earth permanent magnet by heating a water jacket provided on the door of a vacuum vessel of the sintering device, the peripheral part close to the door and high and low-vacuum pipelines with steam. CONSTITUTION: A compact consisting of the fine powder for a rare-earth permanent magnet and solvent is placed in a vessel 4 and arranged in a vacuum vessel 1. The vessel 1 is evacuated to a specified vacuum by the high-vacuum evacuating device 10 and low-vacuum evacuating device 15 provided with a solvent recovery device 18, which are communicated with each other through a high-vacuum pipeline 6 and a low-vacuum pipeline 11. The compact is heated by a heater 5 to a specified temp., degreased and sintered. In the rare-earth permanent magnet sintering device, a water jacket 19 is provided to the door 2 of the vessel 1, the peripheral part of the side face close to the door, the high-vacuum pipeline 6 and the low-vacuum pipeline 11, and steam is supplied from a steam generator 22 communicated through a pipeline 23 to heat the jacket.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to thicken a slurry with high accuracy by calculating the dehydration weight in accordance with density of a solid material constituting the slurry and the density of liquid, the weight and volume of the slurry before thickening and a target slurry concn. and pressurizing the slurry so as to discharge the liquid from the slurry by as much as the calculated dehydration weight component. SOLUTION: The slurry 2 before thickening is put into a slurry tank 1 and is placed on a load cell 11. The signal of the load cell 11 is inputted to a control section 4. The total weight of the slurry tank 1 housing the slurry before thickening is measured in the control section 4 and the weight of the slurry before thickening is calculated. The volume of the slurry before thickening is determined by measuring the liquid level position of the slurry. The dehydration weight is calculated in accordance with the density of the solid material constituting the slurry 2 and the density of the liquid, the weight and volume of the slurry before thickening and the target slurry concn. and the slurry 2 is so pressurized as to discharge the liquid from the slurry 2 by as much as the dehydration weight-component. Namely, the concn. of the slurry 2 operates an actuator 12 which in turn lowers a thickening head 14, thereby compressing the slurry 2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably supplying slurry into a metallic forming mold by using a fixed delivery pump. SOLUTION: The slurry 1 is charged into a slurry vessel 2, and the top part of suction of a 'Moineau pump(R)' 3 is inserted to near the bottom of the slurry vessel 2. The 'Moineau pump(R)' 3 is rotated, and the production of solvent puddle in the slurry is prevented by exciting the slurry vessel 2 at the same time of supplying. On the other hand, when supplying the slurry with repeated exciting for long time, the concn. of fine powder for magnet at the tip part of suction of the 'Moineau pump(R)' is increased and at the time of executing the supplying at the same number of rotations, the supplying quantity of the fine powder for magnet into the metallic mold is gradually increased. Then, the change of this supplying quantity is taken as the height change of a formed body, and the number of rotations of the 'Moineau pump(R)' 3 is corrected from a deviation to a target value, thus the formed body having always fixed height is attained.

    • PURPOSE: To improve the processing capacity while preventing the decrease in the magnetic characteristics by processing the molded form of a rare earth permanent magnet while being dipped in mineral oil, synthetic oil or vegetable oil. CONSTITUTION: Before processing, a movable table 6 is lifted by a driving shaft 8 from the surface of processing solution (mineral oil, synthetic coil or vegetable oil) 2, a molded form 3 is fixed to a spacer 3 at this position, and assembled with the table 6. Then, after a working blade 4 is arrived at a predetermined rotation, the table 6 is pressed down by the shaft 8, and hence the form 3 is brought into contact with the blade 4 and cut. Cuttings generated by the cutting are transferred together with the solution 2 by a circulating pump 10 via a tube 1 to a cutting recovering unit 12. The solution 2 in which the cuttings are removed is again returned to a processing tank 1. When the cutting is completed, the table 6 is again lifted above the surface of the solution 2, and the form 3 in which the processing is finished is removed. Thus, the processing capacity can be improved while preventing the decrease in magnetic characteristics due to the reaction with oxygen.
