    • PURPOSE:To prevent impact force or a mechanical vibration at the time of an access operation by sandwitching a VCM coil by both sides by VCM coil fixing plates, and adhering and clamping it with a screw in a head positioning mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In a state that VCM coil 3 is sandwitched from both sides by the VCM coil fixing plates 5a, 5b, and fixed by means of adhesion and screw- clamping, it is connected by screw-clamping to a head arm 2 loaded with a magnetic head 1. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the peeling-off of adhesion of the VCM coil and the VCM coil fixing plate, which is generated from impact force at the time of an access operation, or a drop of the adhesion strength due to the temperature rise of a coil. In this way, the reliability is raised, a mechanical vibration generated due to the drop of the adhesion strength is prevented, and the positioning accuracy is raised.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a simple construction of reducing the amount of floating particulate generated from a dust-proof bearing itself consisting of a closing member which closes the bearing without a contact with the shaft of the bearing by adopting a labyrinth construction between the shaft and the closing member. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 66 is formed integrally with the middle part of a closing member 66 through which a shaft 61 passes through, extending axially by the length l from the closing member 66, surrounding the entire surface of the shaft 61 with the specified clearance and having no contact with the shaft. The labyrinth construction L is formed in the narrow clearance of lin length between the internal face of the sleeve and the external surface of the shaft 61. By the effect of the labyrinth construction, floating particulate, such as fine oil mist or dirt and dust, generated from lubricant contained in an outer race 63 is discharged into the ambient space of the dust-proof bearing 6 to exactly prevent the inner space of a closed container from contaminated with floating particulate.
