摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select or reserve a desired television program by easily recognizing the title and contents of program under broadcasting at present of receivable television station. SOLUTION: A television program display window 41 for displaying a television program under receiving and an operating button display window 42 are displayed on a display screen 49 of television screen and by depressing any operating button in this operating button display window 42, the function corresponding to that operating button is provided. Then, channel buttons 48a-48g assigned for each television station display the channel numbers or names of assigned television stations, the television program under broadcasting at present and abstract of their contents. When any one of these buttons is depressed, the television program displayed at that button is displayed in the television program display window 41. Besides, when a program table/reserve button 47 for program reservation is depressed, the program table of respective television stations are displayed on the entire display screen 49 and while watching this table, the desired program can be reserved.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a video display device small in size and low in cost without deteriorating display performance as a whole system and also low in power consumption by a proper processing is performed in accordance with the property of data when video data such as an animation is superimposed on character information and displayed on the graphic display screen of a computer. SOLUTION: Video data consisting of fly-back period data which comprises character information and video data except a fly-back period are inputted and displayed in the video data display device. The device is provided with a data transfer means by which fly-back period data and video data except fly-back period data are mutually transferred to difference units. The processing of character information and the processing of video data are progressed by each different unit and, finally, the animation, characters and graphic pictures in a video are superimposed and displayed on the display device.

A TRGQUE write means 14 writes the start/final addresses of the main storage 9 to TRGQUE 15. Then, the next transfer destination start address and the final address return to the lowest address of TRGQUE 15 and the start address and the final address, which are written next, are read in the written order in a TRGQUE read means 16.

A scaling part 802 reads the digital video data out of the frame memory 703, scales these data and outputs them to a color format transforming part 803. The color format transforming part 803 transforms the color format of the inputted data and outputs them to a data transfer control part 804. Further, the color format transforming part 803 outputs line end signals to the data transfer control part 804 synchronously with the output of final data on the respective lines.
