摘要： PURPOSE: To enhance the S/N ratio while preventing reversal by controlling the frequency characteristics of a reproduction equalizer depending on the output from a reversal detection circuit. CONSTITUTION: A reversal detection circuit 12 detects decrease of amplitude in the envelope of a reproduced FM signal corresponding to a part of video signal where the luminance level varies steeply. When the circuit 12 detects a reversal, a control circuit 13 outputs a signal for modifying the frequency characteristics of a reproduction equalizer 10 so that the high frequency region is emphasized. Frequency characteristics of the reproduction equalizer 10 are controlled adaptively and optimally depending on the reproduced signal thus preventing reversal while enhancing the S/N ratio. Furthermore, a constant amplitude signal is fed from an AGC circuit 9 to the circuit 12 thus suppressing fluctuation in the reversal detection sensitivity due to fluctuation in the sensitivity of of reproduction heads 2, 3.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process a recording signal and a reproducing signal with one A/D converter and to make a circuit small by controlling an FM luminance signal level in a frequency multiplexed reproducing signal that is outputted from a magnetic head to a desired level and also inputting the signals in a state of a frequency multiplexed signal to the A/D converter which digitally converts a selective reproducing signal. SOLUTION: A witch circuit 6 is provided on a preceding stage of an A/D converter 7, a reproducing signal processing circuit 3 always controls an FM luminance signal level to a desired level among an FM luminance signal and a low pass conversion color signal which are outputted from recording and reproducing amplifier 2 and performed frequency multiplexing at the time of reproduction, and the FM luminance signal and the low pass conversion color signal are inputted to the converter 7 with the signals undergone frequency multiplexed. With this, even though the degree of saturation of a color signal changes, a signal level which is inputted to the converter 7 does not change. Then, the converter 7 can be shared for recording and reproduction and one A/D converter 7 can be coped with recording and reproduction.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure S/N of a correlation section and to suppress vertical color slurring in non-correlation section by detecting a vertical non-correlation signal from a color signal or a luminance signal so as to control a CNR noise reduction rate. SOLUTION: A noise elimination circuit 29 acts like give a shallow level to a large amplitude non-correlation signal detected from a reproduction signal when the vertical correlation is weak and give a deep level thereto when the vertical correlation is STRONG. On the other hand, a small amplitude signal being a noise component mainly is set to have a prescribed depth independently of the strength of the correlation, then color slurring at non-correlation is reduced and the color noise elimination capability is sufficiently kept. Furthermore, a burst gate pulse is generated based on a horizontal synchronizing signal separated from the reproduction luminance signal and only an adjacent crosstalk component for a burst period is detected among adjacent crosstalk components obtained as the vertical non-correlation component of the reproduction color signal. Then the depth of comb-filtering is deepened when the detection level is high.

The superimpose control signal Sc1 is generated based on the plotting information of characters or the like by an external signal superimpose control circuit 402 and arbitrarily inputted through an external terminal P1 at the integrated circuit device 1.

Output of the switch 5 is demodulated into a base band signals (R-Y), and (B-Y) in demodulators 6 and 7. Using digital circuits facilitate integration, and action clock frequency is reduced by means of base band processing. Thereby, it becomes possible to save electric consumption.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance correlativity of an image compressed signal, to decrease capacity of computer memory and to obtain reduction of data transmission time by emphasizing a contour of an image signal before image compression and decreasing a noise component. SOLUTION: An image signal inputted to an image input terminal 16 is converted into a digital signal in an A/D conversion block 19 and separated into a luminance signal and a chromatic signal in a Y/C separation circuit 22. The luminance signal is supplied to a switch circuit 23. To the other side of the switch circuit 23, a signal with a luminance signal inputted from an input terminal 17 digitally converted in an A/D conversion block 20 is inputted. An output of the switch circuit 23 is inputted into a contour emphasizing circuit 12, and the contour of the luminance signal is emphasized. A noise component of the emphasized signal is reduced in a noise reduction circuit 13 and supplied to an image signal compression circuit 26. Therefore, in noise reduction circuits 13 and 15, noise components which are uncorrelative are reduced, the correlativity of an image is enhanced and compression rate can be enhanced.

In this case, a control signal used to divide a time base direction in a horizontal or vertical direction of the pattern is generated based on a horizontal synchronizing signal or a vertical synchronizing signal to select the image quality setting of the image quality setting circuit.

The similar effect to reduce a capacitance of the clamp capacitor is obtained by increasing the current at recording.

Transfer data to the registers 15, 18 are sent from a ROM 20 via a bus line 25. The ROM 20 is controlled by a microcomputer 12 and a program corresponding to modes such as HB/LR, SP/LP modes is installed in advance in the microcomputer 12. That is, only with provision of one system of digital video signal processing circuit, the device has ease of provision for the plural number of modes and standards by using the software of the microcomputer 12. The microcomputer 12 is made up of a separate integrated circuit from that of a circuit 13 and in the case of controlling the ROM 20 from the microcomputer 12, serial control is in general conducted.
